Teacher Development Workshops
Pixie Lillas will be conducting a series of weekend workshops for certified teachers who wish to further explore their teaching skills and who may also be planning to upgrade to Junior Intermediate I, II or III.
The purpose of the workshops is to familiarise the teachers with the syllabus for Junior Intermediate level I, II and III, both from a teaching and a practice oriented view. We will also look at different aspects of teaching in general, such as observation, hands on adjusting and communication.
Teachers can expect to practise most of the postures of the Junior Intermediate I and II syllabus, to review postures from the Introductory syllabus and also to teach some of those poses to each other.
All sessions will be held at the Balmain Iyengar Yoga Studio, Balmain.

Friday balancing and backbend intensive classes
Pixie will be running a series of special classes concentrating on balancings and backbend sequences for teachers and experienced students wanting to explore some of the poses not taught in regular weekly classes. This is also a good opportunity to learn more precisely the sequences practiced on Saturday morning at the led practice session. The dates so far are as follows:

October 2010 intensive retreat in Laggan, NSW with Pixie.
Pixie will be taking a retreat in Laggan, NSW for teachers, teacher trainees and, if space permits, experienced students with a referral from their teacher. This will be an intensive course in a retreat format with three sessions daily, including early morning pranayama.

Teachers Workshop and General Workshop at Yoga Jivana, Melbourne
Pixie will be teaching a four-day workshop at Joga Jivana in Melbourne. The workshop will consist of:
1. Advanced Workshop - open to teachers & Y3 students
2. General Workshop - open to Y2 & Y intro to 2 students
3. Pranayama Workshop - open to students doing Sirsasana & Sarvangasana - free balance or to wall.
